I am currently an undergrad at the University of South Florida, majoring in Communications with a minor in International Studies.
Three words I would use to describe myself…
Diligent, empathetic, and attentive
What are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about personal growth. I believe that with the continuously changing world, it is crucial that we challenge ourselves to grow and be better. Personal growth is more than accomplishing career goals, it is about having compassion and empathy for others. Acknowledging our weaknesses and being able to consistently make an effort to improve them essential. Through mentorship, as both a mentee and mentor, I have learned the value of personal growth, and it is not a journey that anyone has to take on their own. I believe personal growth is a never-ending endeavor and will continue to be passionate about it throughout my life.
Why intern at CommCore?
When searching for organizations that I wanted to intern for, I was most impressed by CommCore’s client list. They have worked with a series of clients that specialize in various industries. I knew I would get the opportunity to learn how media and presentation training, as well as crisis communications comes into play in different fields of work. In addition to their impressive and extensive client list, I was drawn by the their specialized industry work. With technology quickly evolving, and social media becoming more pronounced in our everyday lives, it is important for industries to be prepared for crises and know how to approach them when they occur. Interning at CommCore would ultimately equip me with the skills necessary to build a career in communications.
What is your favorite social media channel?
My favorite social media channel is Twitter. People are able to express themselves by tweeting and opening up the floor for discussion to a wider audience. I have recently grown to appreciate Twitter, as it has become a platform to share news and current events. I believe that it has played a huge role in the younger populations interest in politics because it is constantly being updated and is easily accessible to the masses. Overall Twitter serves as a one-stop shop; whether users are seeking information on what is trending in pop culture, funny videos, or updates on new legislatures and policies, they can find it all on Twitter.
What do you hope to get involved with the most at CommCore?
I am hoping to obtain hands-on experience in message development and leadership training. I am eager to get involved in client meetings. I aim to implement the skills I learn throughout my experience at CommCore to my professional portfolio. Ultimately, I hope that my involvement in the office will allow me to better contribute to my team in the CommCore and beyond.
