In 2019 and 2020, CommCore partnered with Operation Homefront to conduct media training for its communications professionals to better tell Operation Homefront’s mission and success stories. CommCore also worked with the organization’s leadership to evaluate its crisis communications plan and the team’s readiness. CommCore led a PressureTestTM crisis drill that presented an evolving set of facts and circumstances that required them to make a series of real-time decisions. The exercise helped participants test their plan and their ability to respond to unanticipated events. Click here to learn more about Operation Homefront and their support of military families.
Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit serving America’s military families. It was founded in 2002, in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Operation Homefront’s mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. OVER 90% percent of Operation Homefront’s expenditures go directly toward delivering programs that include relief, resiliency, and other recurring support programs to help our nation’s struggling veterans and military families.
