Noeleen McGrath
// Communications Skills Coach
Senior Consultant Noeleen McGrath specializes in helping professionals from various backgrounds become more effective communicators via media and presentation skills training. Previously an award-winning television news journalist and video producer, she honed her training skills as Director of Talent Development for a leading television news talent agency. McGrath started her television news career at CNN’s Chicago bureau when she was just a junior in college. Within a month of her internship, she was producing stories for the network news giant. And after three years of working behind the camera as a producer at CNN — Noeleen moved in front of the camera as a local news anchor and reporter.
Noeleen works primarily with executives in Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies. She has also coached politicians, professional athletes, authors, attorneys, physicians, research scientists and financial analysts.
Among her many accomplishments as an anchor/reporter: a National Edward R. Murrow award for Best Feature, a Best Continuing Coverage award from the Society of Professional Journalists for her series of stories and live shots of the Columbine High School shootings and Best Spot News awards from the AP for her outstanding live reporting during blizzards and tornadoes.
After almost 12 years in television news, McGrath branched out to video production at one of the largest full-service production houses in Chicago. For two years she produced video news releases and corporate videos. She also media trained countless corporate professionals and athletes before becoming a TV news talent development specialist. McGrath worked with both local and network news anchors and reporters. As a result of her coaching, many moved on to better paying jobs in larger markets. And all became better communicators.
