Eliza is an accomplished life sciences and healthcare communications media specialist with 30 years of experience. She has solid media relationships with reporters at top-tier outlets, including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Reuters, Bloomberg, STAT, BioWorld, and the television networks, among many others.
Eliza has been responsible for designing and executing media strategy for numerous pharma companies from their start-up through commercial phases, and for blockbuster brands as well. She has extensive experience in numerous therapeutic areas, including oncology, hematology, rare diseases, obesity, nephrology, immunology, vaccines, metabolic, cardiovascular, pediatrics and women’s health.
Eliza has worked with companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Intuitive Surgical, Medtronic, Xillio, Arvinas, Celgene, BMS, Pfizer, Sunovion, Merck, Amgen,
ZIOPHARM, Aveo, Epizyme, EnteroMedics, Merus, Humanigen, Corbus, Matinas, Leap Therapeutics, Daiichi Sanyko, Akari Therapeutics, Coagulant Therapeutics, Advaxis, Bracco Diagnositics, Karyopharm, Roche, GSK, Akebia, Novartis, and Sanofi. In addition to designing and implementing media strategy, Eliza also conducts media training sessions and internal public relations skills workshops.
Eliza was a vice president at Ogilvy Public Relations and ran media relations for the healthcare practice’s largest account, PROCRIT, during what was known as the
“Anemia Drug Wars” period. She began her career at Ruder-Finn and GCI Group. Eliza holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
