Despite the rise in the Delta variant, COVID-19 pandemic regulations are lifting in some areas and workplaces are slowly reopening. This uncertainty is creating more resistance for employees about returning to work.
It is normal to be stressed about returning to work, as we’re all more mindful than ever about our personal safety and our families’ health. Organizations can help reassure their staff by communicating a clear Return-To-Work-Strategy.
Follow Pandemic Practices/Guidelines
- Communication Templates to Communicate with Employees
- Onsite contact-tracing
It’s okay to still practice everyday preventative actions, per recommendation by the CDC. Many organizations are offering the flexibility of working from home or a hybrid approach. Additionally, organizations should be communicating with their workforce frequently through:
- Frequent updates to keep employees informed of any changes in the office
- Discussing and providing training, information or resources that may help your organization get back up to speed
It’s also important for management to implement two-way communications in order to listen to employee concerns about returning to the workplace.
